This second edition of ‘Devotions’ takes you on a journey that explores the Christian faith. Written in a story-telling style that offers daily reflection, each page gives food for thought; one day you may be reading the true story of a man who found God’s love and peace whilst in a Thai prison facing the death penalty, the next you may discover the dramatic story of John Newton, a slave trader who called out to God as a merchant ship was sinking. The book is filled with stories of inspirational people of faith, what they have been through and how theirt lives were changed by the experiences they had. It also deals with issues such as loneliness or disappointment, but always in a way that encourages us to think about how hope can be found in the darkest of places.
Through these reflections, you will also meet biblical characters and gain an overview of some of the bible’s history.
Wherever you are on your journey of faith, whatever your personal story, this book aims to give you hope. Our future doesn’t have to be defined by our past.
Encouragement and inspiration are the key.
