Copy and Line Editing
The First Step to a Polished Book
Every piece of written material needs professional editing – editing a book for publishing is more than just a quick proofread; it’s the foundation of quality writing and the minimum requirement for any published work.
A copy edit and line edit provide a thorough review of your manuscript, addressing crucial corrections such as spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and syntax. We also offer suggestions for areas that may need further attention. However, this process does not involve extensive rewrites—only minor adjustments for clarity and flow.
If you're wondering what to do after finishing your first draft, professional editing is the next essential step. We offer two levels of copy editing, tailored to the depth of revision your manuscript requires. Let us help you improve your work and ensure your writing is the best it can be before publication.
• A Standard copy and line edit includes all aspects of spelling, grammar, and some basic corrections regarding sentence syntax/construction. Your file will be marked with 3 levels of corrections 1) specific errors that need removing, 2) the suggested correction, 3) advisories.
